When the Sequoia & Kings National Parks first started they were really small and covered only one-ninth of the present area. This has increased and now there are seven more additions that have been made to these parks. The last area to be added in the year 1978 was the Mineral King area. There are five distinctively different regions that the park area is divided into and each of them has different weather conditions at any day. You can select from day hiking trips to auto touring. Sequoia & Kings National Parks is so very wonderful and offers one such a diverse range of nature that it has been declared the International Biosphere Reserve. There are only 531 regions that have been bestowed this honor all over the world. Take yourself down the foothills of the mountains for a day hike.
